5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible Taste, April 15, 2012
By
This review is from: Certified Organic Dandelion Honey 17.60 Ounces (Misc.)
I've tried many different types of raw honey, and this dandelion honey is incredible. It has a bright yellow appearance and smells and tastes like dandelions, yet it's very sweet and delectable. It really makes me feel great. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious, healthy, a real treat!, October 27, 2008

This review is from: Jarrow Formulas Pumpkin Seed Butter Organic, 20 Ounce (Health and Beauty)
I've recently discovered, and some may say become obsessed with raw nut and seed butters, I had ordered and devoured a jar of raw pumpkin seed from a different supplier, Then when I went to reorder, must to my dismay, the price was now outrageous! $65.00 for a jar. So I thought, what should I do? Luckily, Amazon came through for me, I found this brand while googling on Amazon,,,,and gave it a whirl, Well, it came in today and it's yummy, No complaints, This will fit the bill just fine, I am not sure if it is raw, but it is coldpressed, And it tastes healthy, Hurray! Is a better value for the dollar too!

Pumpkin seed butter is a bit runnier than regular peanut butter or cashew butter (for comparison). However, pumpkin seeds are a good source of omega3 fatty acids and the pumpkin seed butter is a nice alternative to eating all those pumpkin seeds. I've ordered it a couple of times and shared it with my family and co-workers. They didn't seem to care for it, so it's probably a bit of an acquired taste. Knowing it is good for me is enough of an incentive for me to eat it, but not so much for others. This product will last you a while. Now, cashew butter on the other hand, will go quickly! Everyone seems to love that.

This nut spread is delicious and is not too sweet. It is especially good on sprouted raisin bread. Takes the place of peanut butter and is much healthier.

Organic Raw Canadian Honey - 17.6 oz. glass jar for

Organic Raw Canadian Honey - 17.6 oz. glass jar

Product Description

Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey comes from the frontier areas of Canada, and is only harvested during a 6-week period in the summer. Tropical Traditions is the exclusive source of this premium organic honey in the U.S. Most commercial honeys available on the market today come from bee farms, where the bees are controlled within a certain area and get their pollen from usually only one kind of flower. Many of the plants that produce these flowers (clover, orange blossom, etc.) are grown with pesticides and fertilizers as well. In addition, almost all honeys on the market are pasteurized in high heat and filtered, removing many of the beneficial nutrients and enzymes.
Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey has not been subjected to the heat of processing, only warmed enough to flow (same temperatures the honey would see inside the hive). It contains live yeast and enzymes, because it has not been processed. It also contains pollen because it has not been filtered-merely screened. In order for honey to be certified organic, the beehives must be placed in isolated areas miles from the dense population, industry, traffic congestion, and farm fields treated with chemicals and landfills. Finding area which can be certified organic is extremely difficult, which is why there are so few certified organic honeys on the market. Tropical Traditions sources its honey from hives in the wild frontier areas of Canada. These regions are a rich source of wild vegetation that produce some of the finest honey in the world. The USDA and Canadian Organic Certification implies a rigorous set of standards and conditions that must be adhered to by both the producer (beekeeper) and the packager.
Try some, and we think you'll agree that there is no finer honey in North America! Raw, organic, Canadian honey, available exclusively in the US through Tropical Traditions.

  • Raw - Unfiltered

5.0 out of 5 stars WHITE HONEY, from God through the honey bees to you!, June 7, 2011

This review is from: Organic Raw Canadian Honey - 17.6 oz. glass jar (Health and Beauty)
Hello, I am a student of natural medicine taking final exams. And for the last two years I have to continually keep buying and trying natural products and supplements for potency, purety and effectiveness for human consumpion. I mostly have a great interest in multi-cultural solutions. I have tryed many types and colors and consistencies of honey and 99% of the honey from the united states is not real honey. If you can go to the store and pick up a jar or bottle of honey and hold it up to the store llght and see straight through it. Leave it on the shelf you are wasting your money. If it is clear it is dead and has no active living enzymes and you will not get a drop of nutritional value from it. I have had about every kind of honey the u.s has to offer and even some from the himilalyas and it was fair but not that impressive. This rural Canadian Honey from Tropical Traditions is by far the purest, cleanest and smooth tasting honey that I have found so far on the planet and I have had... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely, hands-down best honey ever tasted!, May 28, 2009
This review is from: Organic Raw Canadian Honey - 17.6 oz. glass jar (Health and Beauty)
We use honey from time to time. A little bit in tea, sometimes a little over toast, in smoothies, etc. I bought this honey for the first time and it lasted less than weeks! My husband, who used to use honey very infrequently, has been eating it every night and now it's gone. It has a very pleasing and mild flavor and now I can't go back to any other honey. YUM!

It's important to understand that this will not be the liquid honey you're used to. It is the texture of cake frosting and spreads beautifully on bread. It is also very easy to scoop with a spoon for use in tea. Its taste is so mild and delicious that I'm already halfway through the jar I just got. the funny thing is I hadn't been using honey regularly for years but this stuff has converted me back.

The texture may make it more difficult to use in baking (you can warm it slightly to make it a liquid) but for every other use, it's perfect as-is. In a word... FANTASTIC!
