| 12 of 13 people found the following review helpful  Warning: NOT Organic Peanuts, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Justin's Nut Butter Organic Chocolate Peanut Butter, 16 Ounce plastic jars (Pack of 3) (Grocery) UPDATE Feb 2012: Justin's Nut Butter Website currently lists the ingredients for this product as: "Ingredients: Dry Roasted Peanuts, Organic Evaporated Cane Sugar, Organic Cocoa Powder, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Palm Fruit Oil, Natural Vanilla, Sea Salt."Not everyone cares if the peanuts are organic or not, so, here are other aspects of the product: ADDED mid-2011: at room temperature, this chocolate peanut butter is substantially thicker and therefore, more difficult to spread, than the P'nut Butter & Co. version of the same thing. It "balls up" and crumbles better, though. In addition, this one lists considerably more sodium, as well. Oddly enough, it has a much milder taste than the PB&C, which can be good or bad, depending on your own preference. Also, the container (plastic #1) is square/cubical in shape, so scraping the sides to get all the product out is more challenging than if it were packaged a cylindrical container. I was very hesitant to try this at first, but it turned out to be the perfect sweet-tooth snack. The consistency of this peanut butter pretty much stayed the same without refrigeration. Also, I ended up eating this alone most of the time! I never tried it on toast, but it does work well with apples. It is delicious all by itself or on an apple, I wouldn't ruin it with toast, but maybe a white bread that doesn't compete with the amazing chocolatey-peanut heaven. Don't put it in the refrigerator it changes the texture. |
