Product Description
In the Mountains of North Georgia, from April until June, our bees travel 2-3 miles from their hives to gather the nectars of Blackberry, Tulip Poplar, Maple, and hundreds of other flowers. This wide variety of nectar sources is what gives Wildflower Honey its depth and complexity, just like a good cabernet. Enjoy this treat with your favorite gourmet cheese or on an organic peanut butter sandwich.
Our bees made this honey from the nectar of wildflowers in the North Georgia Mountains in the spring of 2010. We harvested it the first week in June, let the honey pass through a cheesecloth filter (to ensure there aren't any wings, etc.), then we seal the honey directly into the container that you receive.
It doesn't get any more pure than this! The Wright family has been producing high quality, organic honey in the North Georgia Mountains for over 50 years.

Organic Mountains 100% Pure Honey - Wildflower Reviews

This stuff is awesome. The Sourwood is my favorite; the honey has a really complex flavor that's of course sweet (after all, it IS honey) but much more mellow than many of the honeys I buy (such as Orange Blossom, even Wildflower). I've been using it in a variety of teas (by the way, I love Teavana) and it's awesome. This honey's addictive - I could eat it all day long (of course, I'd be bouncing off the walls, but at least I'd be happy!).I've bought this locally in Atlanta, but am so glad it's avaialable on Amazon as it's easier than hunting for it (usually only the higher-end stores carry it). 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Organic Mountains 100% Pure Honey - Wildflower (Misc.) I bought sourwood honey from the company's president at Peachtree Center in Atlanta last week and let me tell you, this stuff is worth every penny it costs - delicious, clean taste, sweet but not cloying, and a perfect topping to a buttered biscuit or in a cup of organic tea. I couldn't recommmend the product or the seller more highly. Get some! |
